Riviera Palette Review

Riviera Eyeshadow Palette

When I saw the Riviera Eyeshadow Palette I needed to have it. It got me excited to try some new looks and not a lot of palettes have done that lately. The colours in the palette were speaking to me.

Now the Riviera eyeshadow palette is limited edition so it won’t be available forever. Which is sad because it is a good palette to have if you like pops of colour. For me, I love colour so that is definitely what attracted me to this palette.

Price

This palette cost C$59.00 which is C$4.00 more than their other palettes. I’m not sure why it is a little more expensive. Maybe because it’s limited edition but that still doesn’t really explain it. Even though it is a few dollars more the price is still good. It would be a little under C$5.00 per pan. Anything under 5 is good for me.

Packaging

The packaging of this palette is so cute. It has a nautical theme going on with the blue and white stripes. The font on the front is a nice gold shade. I’m really happy this palette doesn’t have a velvet feel to it like the Modern Renaissance palette because I hate the feel of that one.

It also comes with a brush just like their other palettes. The brushes that come in the palettes are actually not bad they get the job done. I think it’s great for people who don’t have many brushes.

Pigment

The pigment on the eyeshadows is amazing. All the shades I have used so far have great pigment. Which I wasn’t surprised since I get good pigment with the other Anastasia palettes I have. The pigment in the Riviera Eyeshadow Palette though is just a little bit better than the rest.

Also, I did notice I had a little bit of staining on my eyes after using the shade Bahamas and Cannes.

Blending

The eyeshadows blended really well for me. They go on very smooth and just super easy to blend. The shimmers are really nice no need to pack a lot on or difficult to blend. The shades Bahamas and Cannes I thought were going to be a little difficult from some previous experience with similar shades but no. They blend very well, I am very happy with how the shades perform.

Fallout

I didn’t really have any fallout. Keep in mind I always tap off the extra product of matte shades before I apply to my eyes. The shimmer shades had very minimal fallout, if any at all. There is kick back in the pan. Nothing serious, a little more than some of my palettes but it doesn’t bother me.

Riviera Final Thoughts

I for sure recommend the Riviera Eyeshadow Palette. The shades selected are gorgeous especially the pops of colour. The shades blend beautifully and you can create so many looks with it. Definitely a palette I think you should consider buying.
